Crew Biography

 

Tommy Garcia

1. 2007 thru Present - Board Member & VP of Texas Armed Forces Historical Society. Currently working for Foster Wheeler Co.(Houston Tx.) as a Civil Squad Leader.

2. 1989 - Tech Advisor for the movie Memphis Belle (shot in England). Provided tech help with the crew on how to make movements and to know where to look for the correct equipment as required for the scenes. Also provided film crew on tech help on the construction of a full scale fuselage mockup of late "F" type.

3. 1986 thru 2006 - Director of Collings Foundation (Texas Group) & Board Member of Collings Foundation (Stow Mass).

4. 1985 thru 1992 - Helped with the restoration of other B-17's: Yankee Lady, Thunderbird, 909, N17W, Chuckie, Aluminum Overcast, Fuddy Duddy, Shady Lady owned by (Evergreen International Aviation).

5. 1983 thru 1986 - Helped with the completion of restoration on Sentimental Journey.

6. 1983 - Co-Founder B-17 Co-Op started with (Texas Raiders-Myself, Sentimental Journey-Jim Peters & one year later Chuckie-Doc Hospers).

6. 1982 thru 1985 - Part of the restoration crew that transformed Texas Raiders from a cargo a/c then back to a 1944 bomber & Life Member of CAF.

 

Joe Kerminskie

1. 1973 - Present- Acting crew chief for the B-17 Memphis Belle 2 that was also flowen to England (along with one other B-17 - N17W) to be used as the Memphis Belle. He has also restored the B-26, B-25 and other aircraft that belonged to David Tallichet.

Bruce Orriss

1. 1989 - Tech Advisor for the movie Memphis Belle (shot in England). Provided flying and ground equipment.

Tom Wilson

1. 2008 - Will provide sheet metal repairs/rework at cost in return for allowing the use of the forward fuselage for building jig fixtures to help rebuild Don Brook's B-17F & the Urbana,Ohio B-17 project.
